After many years of experience in women’s wellness, I feel honored supporting birthing & postpartum families as a Doula.
my story
Before becoming a professionally trained doula, I spent 15 years working in women’s health clinics and in private practice in clinical and surgical support roles, and as a health educator/patient advocate. Additionally, I have spent many years volunteering in leadership positions with several non-profit organizations, particularly around younger people at high risk for cancer.
Now that I have raised my own wonderful kids while working full time, I am enjoying the freedom to commit to a full time 24/hr on call Doula schedule, confidently supporting families beginning to build their own foundations. I bring my professional and personal experience of navigating this wild road with non-judgment, humor, and warmth.
As a parent, I became aware early on about the importance of building your village of support starting during pregnancy (or in pre-adoption/birth phases) throughout their life! Along the way, while raising my own kids and supporting patients and friends in their parenting adventures, I became passionate about the importance of providing unbiased information, calm, and professional resources during periods of family transitions.
my FAMILY
I am endlessly proud of my adult kids Isabella and Nick. They are strong, intelligent, ridiculously funny, with boundless kindness and humility. We are very close, and although I miss the days of giggling little people running throughout the house, I’m really enjoying this phase of our relationship. They inspire me and make me laugh everyday. Thank goodness for FaceTime and good travel apps!
I am also Mother to two very spoiled dogs Manny and Oliver.
